9Email

Email
One form field can be identified as the email field. By clicking the radio button of the relevant field, you can select which field is to contain tyour visitors' email address. When a field has been marked as the email field, it means that FormCatcher can automatically add contacts who supply their email address, and existing contacts will be linked via this email address. You will also be able to track their participation - both form submissions and email referrals (if there is a linked campaign).

10Firstname

Firstname
You can nominate a form field as the intended first name input of your form. If you do so, FormCatcher knows to use this value when creating a new contact for your collection. Note this is only practical when an email address field is also specified (see step 9 above).

11Lastname

Lastname
You can nominate a form field as the intended last name input of your form. If you do so, FormCatcher knows to use this value when creating a new contact for your collection. Note this is only practical when an email address field is also specified (see step 9 above).

12Show/Hide

Show/Hide
Sometimes your forms will submit unnecessary data that you don't want to collect. Simply click the lightbulb to turn the unwanted field off.

13Move

Move
Changing the order of the fields here only affects the collection view page and the order of the columns in the spreadsheet that you download containing the collection data.

14Delete

Delete
Delete a form field if you made a mistake. Don't delete fields that are in your form that you aren;t interested in collecting (eg: image button inputs usually send X and Y coordinates). In these situations, use the lightbulb to hide a field instead (see step 12 above).

15Rename
